The race, which has a field of 10, will have a post time at 11:05 with current favorite Cuatro De Julio at 2-1 odds. Cuatro De Julio
Dream With Me Stable's Cuatro De Julio looks to capture another win this season after a record-setting performance in the $200,000 Charlie Hill Memorial for aged trotters two weeks ago. He finished the race, passing second favorite Lovedbythemasses by two lengths finishing in an Eldorado Scioto Downs track record time of 1:51.1. Now, coming into the Caesars Trotting Classic, Cuatro De Julio enters the program at 2-1 odds but will have to face up against David H Mc Duffee's Bella Bellini. So, here's my take. I take the Bluegrass Division runner-up, Cuatro De Julio, to win the Caesars Trotting Classic.
JuJuBee
Jon W Erdner's JuJuBee will face off against Cuatro De Julio and Bella Bellini to keep his now fading cinderella story alive. The four-year-old was at the top of his class last year, winning the Breeders Crown 3-year-old colt trot final at "The Big M" but hasn't found that same momentum in his four-year-old year. However, this could be an excellent race for JuJuBee to get a win in and show the rest of the harness racing world that he isn't done just yet. But, for the price of 5-1, I don't know if Id feels confident placing a wager on the 2021 three-year-old champion.
Bella Bellini
The Florida-bred horse Bella Bellini looks to keep her record-setting season going with a win in the Caesars Trotting Classic. Last year Hambletonian Oaks winner recently won in a record-setting time at Meadowlands on July 16th, the same day Bulldog Hanover set the record for fastest harness racing mile ever in the $432,000 Hambletonian Maturity. She sits in the program at 7-2 odds, behind the favorite Cuatro De Julio, and is one of the only female horses in the Caesars Trotting Classic. One thing I remember before wagering on this horse is that she has beaten the boys like thoroughbred racer Nest. Furthermore, she's a quick horse as she set the harness racing world-record 2:04.1 win over 1-1/8 miles this past year. Therefore, I think she is a great horse to bet on for the price.
