Dallas Cowboys: SEASON IS OVER

By Alex Al-Kazzaz

Earlier this week, Dak Prescott underwent season-ending surgery on his hamstring. He's on injured reserve and is officially done for the season. The Dallas Cowboys are 3-6 and hope has run out. Therefore, the season is officially over.

Last week, Dallas suffered another embarrassing home loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. A final score of 34-6. Micah Parson made his return after missing several weeks, but Parsons' return had little effect though he did register two sacks. DeMarcus Lawrence is still on IR. Cooper Rush started under center and was replaced by Trey Lance, and that was a disaster. At this point, is it crystal clear that the T. Lance experiment in Dallas is officially an abject failure? Honestly. ABSOLUTELY! 100 percent! But at least the Cowboys didn't give THREE first-round picks to draft the Lance out of College. But then again, the disastrous Amari Cooper trade? Too soon?!

The Cowboys will be 3-7 after next Monday. There's nothing to look forward to about Dallas' game against Houston. Cowboys fans can hope and PRAY that they can at least pull off a miraculous win on Thanksgiving against the New York Giants. But as far as the playoffs? Well, that ship has already sunk. Quite frankly, that ship has been at the bottom of the ocean for at least two weeks now.

At this point, should the Cowboys fanbase just think about the team's chances of securing a top-5 draft pick in next year's draft? Well, first off who'll take over as the head coach? Yes, Mike McCarthy will be gone. The offensive coordinator should go, as well, along with defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer. Yes, you read that right; the Zimmer experiment is NOT working. As far as coaches go, the Cowboys need to clean house, but because Jerry Jones is in charge, the decision will be the same; ANOTHER YES MAN. Some are strongly flirting with the idea of BILL BELICHICK becoming the Cowboys' head coach...SERIOUSLY?!

The disaster didn't start during the regular season. It all started in the off-season. What were Jerry's words? About the Cowboys being all in? All the good that did.

Dallas is 3-6. There's still a lot of misery to come. The end cannot come quickly enough.
