Keith Lee is ALL ELITE!

By Alex Al-Kazzaz

After several months of waiting and wondering where Keith Lee's career would go next, we FINALLY HAVE AN ANSWER! Because on Wednesday, Lee made his debut on AEW Dynamite! His debut saw him defeat Isiah Kassidy. On March 6th, at AEW's Revolution pay-per-view, Lee will be part of the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match! It's been teased about for several months, but now it's finally a reality; Keith Lee is ALL ELITE!

After Lee had quite a respectable run with WWE's NXT brand from 2018 to 2020, his run on the main roster didn't go very well. Fans certainly weren't satisfied. Lee was briefly in the WWE title picture and he unsuccessfully challenged Drew McIntyre for the title on January 4th of last year. That next month, he was scheduled to compete in a triple threat match for the United States Championship but was pulled out. It would later be revealed that this was due to Lee testing positive for Covid-19 and suffering heart inflammation.

Lee returned to television taking on Bobby Lashley for the WWE title in a losing effort. He would remain with WWE for several more months until he was released last November. During that time, fans would constantly flirt with the idea of Lee joining AEW. Quite frankly, many fans were truly convinced that Lee going to AEW was inevitable.

Now that Lee is part of the roster, fans are hopeful that Lee can have a better run with AEW than he did with WWE. AEW already has quite a roster, so hopefully, Lee will participate in useful storylines. It's unclear what AEW plans to do with Lee. Let's hope that there are big plans! At this point, the only thing to do is wait and see. Pray, as well.
