WNBA 2025 Schedule Released

The WNBA released the 2025 regular season schedule on Monday. It will be the 29th season of the WNBA that will begin on Friday, May 16. The season will conclude on Thursday, September 11.


The regular season will have 44 games, four games more than last season (40). Every team will have 22 road games and 22 home games. In addition, the fifth annual Commissioner's Cup will take place. The Cup will be a 17-day period in June. The Commissioner's Cup presented by Coinbase will have a $500,000 prize for the winning team. In addition, Coinbase has committed $120,000 in cryptocurrency to the prize pool which includes $5,000 for each player in the championship game. Title game will be played on Tuesday, July 1.


WNBA Commissioner said during the release, "We look forward to tipping off the WNBA's 29th season in May of 2025 and continuing to build on the success of last season, when the WNBA delivered its most-watched Draft and All-Star Game, and set records for viewership, attendance, digital consumption, and merchandise sales."


The WNBA All-Star Game will be held at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, the home of the Indiana Fever. This will be the first time that Indianapolis has hosted the league's midseason showcase. The 21st WNBA All-Star Game will on July 19.


Opening night will be the begin of the new expansion team, Golden State Valkyries as they will host the Los Angeles Sparks in the Bay. The Golden State Valkyries has their expansion draft coming up on Friday, December 6. The Dallas Wings, who has the no.1 pick in the WNBA Draft will also play on opening night against last season's runner-up, Minnesota Lynx.


The reigning champs, New York Liberty will open their title defense at home against rival Las Vegas Aces on banner day. Speaking of rivals, Angel Reese and Caitilin Clark will do battle as their seasons open up against one another as the Fever host the Sky.

  • Atlanta Dream at Washington Mystics 7:30PM

  • Minnesota Lynx at Dallas Wings 7:30PM

  • Los Angeles Sparks at Golden State Valkyries 10PM


Saturday, May 17, 2024:
  • Chicago Sky at Indiana Fever 1PM

  • Las Vegas Aces at New York Liberty 3PM

  • Seattle Storm at Phoenix Mercury 10PM


The WNBA will unveil its complete television and streaming schedule at a later date.
