WWE Summer Slam Fallout | Women's Division Due for a Shake Up

With Summer Slam in the books WWE is set to shift to new stories, and new feuds. We should also start to see more signs of what Triple H has in store now that he is the lead creative force in WWE. Perhaps no division is in for more of a shake-up than the WWE women's division. Both Raw champion Bianca Belair, and Smackdown champion Liv Morgan retained their respective titles last night, but they could have a whole new slate of challengers lining up.

The big shake-up we have already seen occurred at Summer Slam with the return of Bayley flanked by former NXT standouts Dakota Kai and Io Sky. The group confronted Bianca Belair following her successful title defense, and certainly seem poised to be the next threat to the Raw women's champion. Bianca found back up in former rival Becky Lynch but...

Reports have surfaced today that Big Time Becks has suffered a separated shoulder. It is unclear how long this might take the Man out of action, but it certainly opens the door for new faces to shine. Another member of the women's roster will be out of action for very different reasons.

WWE announced today that Ronda Rousey was suspended and fined for her attack on a WWE ref after her controversial loss to Liv Morgan. This is of course all storyline as stars like Rousey tend to be given breaks (see Lesnar, Reigns, Edge, etc.) WWE did not announce the length of the suspension, but I would not expect Rousey to be gone too long. Speaking of wrestlers who have been given time off there is one who could be ready to step into the void left by Becky and Ronda.

The Queen herself Charlotte Flair has been out of action for the last few months. It was announced as an injury, but in reality, she was given time off for her wedding to current AEW star Andrade El Idolo, so she could return at any time. I expected her to make an appearance at Summer Slam given she was in town for her father Ric Flair's last match, but the queen remains MIA. If Charlotte is still out then are two wild cards who could be making their way back into the picture.

Numerous wrestling news outlets have reported that former WWE women's tag team champions Sasha Banks and Naomi have reached a deal to return to WWE, after walking out of a Raw taping a few months ago over a dispute with creative. With Triple H now leading the charge, it is no surprise he would want these two fan favorites back. It is not clear when they would return, but there have been suggestions it could be as early as tonight's episode of Raw. Speaking of which I gotta tune in to see what happens. As a famous voice once said, "business is about to pick up!"
