Bearing Down the Gridiron continues its second season by previewing the Big Ten Conference. A lot of changes will be taken place in the Big Ten after the 2023 season. The conference will go from 14 schools to 18 schools for the 2024 season.
At first, it was just the LA schools in the University of Southern California and the University of Los Angeles going to the Big Ten from the PAC-12 a couple of years ago. Now, they're not the only PAC-12 schools move to the Big Ten. Oregon and Washington will also be joining the Big Ten in 2024.
Nevertheless, that is a year from now, so let's focus on the current. The Michigan Wolverines are coming off back-to-back Big Ten Championships, but no success in the College Football Playoffs in those seasons.
Purdue are the Big Ten West defending champions.
Ohio State University found themselves in an unfamiliar place as they are not the favorites in the Big Ten anymore.
