Can We Expect Another James Bond Game Soon?

By Alex Al-Kazzaz

When was the last time an exciting James Bond 007 video game came out? A rather perplexing question, right? A new 007 game is currently being worked on supposedly, but as far as a release date and other info, there's very little to go on. In other words, there's no telling when it'll be released, the game's info, etc, we do NOT know!

From 1997 to 2005, ten 007 games were released. We all remember GoldenEye on the Nintendo 64! To this day, the game is still iconic and still considered one of the best games ever created. In 2002, NightFire came out and while the game was relatively a bit short, the plot was interesting and the gameplay was certainly unique. Same with Everything or Nothing which came out in 2004 and From Russia With Love in 2005.

In 2008, the 22nd James Bond film came out, and soon after they made a game for it, which was not very good, to be honest. In 2010, they made a remake of GoldenEye and it was awful. And James Bond 007: Bloodstone? The reviews are pretty...unconvincing.

So what does that tell us about an upcoming James Bond game? Should we be excited? Should we be glad that James Bond video games are still being thought of? Just what the heck is going on? It's been 15 years since a James Bond game that came out turned out decent. It's been 12 years since a James Bond game was last made. So it's safe to say that we shouldn't expect any miracles.
