The Jimmy Garoppolo era in San Francisco is over. The 31-year-old quarterback has officially reunited with Josh McDaniels in Las Vegas. Garropolo has agreed to terms on a three-year contract worth $67.5 million. In addition, a total of $34 million is guaranteed.

Garoppolo last three years in San Francisco have been very rough. From battling numerous injuries to losing his job to Trey Lance to flat out poor play. It's safe to say that Garoppolo's time in San Francisco was quite a roller coaster. Garoppolo led San Francisco to the Super Bowl in 2019 only to lose to Kansas City. In 2021, he led San Francisco back to the NFC Championship where the 49ers fell to the Los Angeles Rams. While there were good times, there were certainly HARD TIMES for Jimmy G and he's now getting a much-needed fresh start.

Las Vegas parted ways with Derek Carr not long ago. Carr went on to sign with the New Orleans Saints. Now that Garoppolo is in Sin City, the Raiders are also getting a much-needed fresh start. No doubt, considering Garoppolo's injury history, the signing is a risk. However, taking risks is merely part of the game when it comes to the game of football in business perspectives.

Expectations for Garoppolo are too early right now. Based on the results given at training camp, it'll clear by then where and how Garoppolo stands as far as his status as a starter or not. No doubt, he's expected to be named starter, but Garoppolo has a lot of preparation to do.
