Lamar Jackson is NOT going anywhere

Earlier this week, the Aaron Rodgers drama finally came to an end. And now, the same can be said regarding Lamar Jackson. The five-year NFL quarterback has signed a five-year deal worth $260 million with $185 million guaranteed. After over two years of negotiations, the two sides have finally sealed the chapter. Move are ready to move on and prepare for the 2023 NFL season.

Last month, the 2019 NFL MVP revealed on social media that he requested a trade from Baltimore on the second of that same month. Interestingly, Jackson signs his new deal not long after Jalen Hurts got his pay day with the Philadelphia Eagles. In Jackson's case, the fact that he was able to land such a lucrative deal while representing himself is very good. Many argue that had he an agent, a deal would have been done sooner. At this point, it's irrelevant as the deal is signed and official.

Jackson missed some time last season due to injury. He didn't take part in Baltimore's playoff loss in the wildcard to Cincinnati. He has missed more than ten games in the last two seasons, so it's clear that he needs to be and stay healthy.

Now that he's received his pay day, the Ravens are hoping for a Super Bowl win. The world remembers the promise he made the day he was drafted in the first round in 2018. "They're going to get a Super Bowl out of me, believe that." It's time for Jackson to make good on that promise.
